BunnyKnots

FAQ

Where are BunnyKnots Rope Events located?

In various locations. We try to have at least two events a month at different venues. These locations tend to be people's private homes who are generous enough to host for us. Because these are private residences we only give out the address to people who have been vetted and indicate they plan to attend.

Currently we have one event occurring mid way between the French Quarter and Slidell, in the Venetian Isles, near New Orleans East. Our second event occurs in the Marigny in New Orleans proper. We are always on the lookout for additional spaces we might be able to utilize.

Where does the entry fee / donation go?

It is split 50/50 with the venue hosting us (caveat follows). From there what is left is divided evenly between the people leading our class time for that night.

Some venues choose to host us for free. (Thank you! ❤️). In that case all of the money is divided amongst our educators. Some of our educators also decline to accept any payment. In that case the money is defaulted to the remaining educator.

In the case that neither educator accepts payment then the money will be collected by BunnyKnots with the intention of purchasing rope sets to gift to members who may not be able to afford their own.

Nothing is kept for the organization itself or the facilitator.

What's the connection between BunnyKnots Rope Socials and Happy Kitten Rope Jams?

There is no formal connection. The two are separate and independently run.

That said, Michael (aka @BeastAfterDark), is the primary organizer of BunnyKnots events, and also helps to run the Wednesday night Happy Kitten Rope Jams. BunnyKnots events are loosely based on the way Happy Kitten Rope Jams are run.

Why do BunnyKnots Rope Events exist when Happy Kitten Rope Jams are available?

For various reasons not everyone can, or is willing to, attend Happy Kitten Rope Jams. BunnyKnots brings Rope events to different locations in the area, which may be easier for some people to get to, and at different times/days.

When BunnyKnots started there was only a Wednesday Rope Jam. Since then Sunday Jams have been added, making the need a little less, but as long as people continue to show interest BunnyKnots will continue to schedule events.

What's the connection between BunnyKnots and the K.N.O.T.S. group?

At this point BunnyKnots has no connection to the K.N.O.T.S. discussion group on Fetlife, other than the fact it happens to be our former home.

BunnyKnots events originally operated under the name K.N.O.T.S., and made use of the K.N.O.T.S. discussion group on Fetlife. However that discussion group was actually owned by a club in Slidell, despite the fact BunnyKnots ran the group. When we made the decision to stop scheduling rope events at that club the owner chose not to allow us to use the discussion group anymore. We then officially changed our event names to BunnyKnots in an attempt to avoid confusion.
